The CANopen Chip-505 is a tiny yet highly cost-effective Single Board Computer based on the 8051-compatible Infineon C505CA microcontroller. The size of a 40-pin DIP device, the board is designed for use as a pre-configured I/O-node in a CANopen network, rather than as a stand alone micro engine. The CANopen Chip-505 is certified by CiA (CAN in Automation, e.V.) A DIPmodul/CANopen Chip Carrier Board is also available to provide a flexible development platform for easy start-up and subsequent programming. The Carrier Board design allows easy operation of the implemented module in a Controller Area Network (CAN) bus system and connection of additional expansion boards featuring various functions that support fast and convenient prototyping and software evaluation.

  • 2 address and 8 data lines for connectivity to an external 8-bit port
